Mr. William Edward "Ed" Knopp, age 95, of Calvary, KY, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1915 in Marion County, KY. Mr. Knopp was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was also a member of the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by wife, Mary Elizabeth Craig Knopp; parents, Paul Edgar and Stella Bright Knopp; sons, Randall and Eddie Arnold Knopp; daughter, Vickie Brady; sisters, Pauline Raikes, Agnes Bishop, Sylvia Caldwell, and Thelma Curtis.
Survivors include son, William Donnie Knopp, of Lebanon, KY; daughters, Harlene Abell, of Finley, KY, Veronica Brussell, of Louisville, KY, Mary Spalding, of Calvary, KY; brothers, Sam Knopp, of Finley, KY, Thelbert Knopp, of Calvary, KY; sisters, Mae Morgeson, of Lebanon, KY, Frances Gordon, Lebanon, KY; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, with interment in the Church Cemetery.
Visitations will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with a prayer service that evening at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Dennis May.
