Wayne Hancock, age 89, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, September 07, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

He was born on February 11, 1931 in Bradfordsville, Kentucky. Mr. Hancock was a proud United States Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. After his uncle passed away, Mr. Hancock was appointed as a Marion County Magistrate and served from 1975 to 1989. He had a great love for working John Deer puzzles and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Lee; parents, Earl Hancock and Bernice Woodrum Hancock; four brothers, Hubert Hancock, Blayne Hancock, Bobby Hancock, Cap Hancock; sister, Geneva Vandyke.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Leona Brockman Hancock of Lebanon, KY; son, Terry Wayne Hancock, Sr. (Sally) of Lebanon, KY; two daughters, Trish Wilcher (Butch) of Bradfordsville, KY, Dana Reed (Ricky) of Lebanon, KY; six grandchildren, Terry Wayne Hancock, Jr. (Melissa), Casey Lee Hancock (Jennifer), Nicholas Wilcher (Kristi), Katie Hood (Joe), Alan Reed, Paige Reed.

Also surviving are nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 11, 2020 at Bosley Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Lebanon National Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Bosley Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to The Marion County Veterans Honors Guard.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is restricted to 50% capacity. Visitors paying their respects will be asked to wait during busy periods until others leave before entering the funeral home. Food or beverages are not permitted at this time. Face masks are required to enter the facility.
