Wavie Ilda Cochran Malone, age 95 of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025 at Bluegrass Way Assisted Living in Campbellsville. Ilda was born November 15, 1929 in Casey County to the late Ephrain and Mary Clarkson Cochran. Ilda worked many years at Union Underwear; she also volunteered at Spring View Hospital and Campbell- Dewitt Funeral Home. She was also a member of Eastern Star and enjoyed participating in many activities throughout her life. Ilda enjoyed water aerobics at the local pool, she also enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center. Ilda loved listening to gospel music and especially listening to her son, Dan, play banjo and sing with his band.

Ilda was preceded in death by her parents, Ephrain and Mary Cochran; husband, Delmer Almerle Malone; her infant daughters, Bonnie Sue and Lisa Carole Malone; son, Lonnie Malone; brothers, Elvin Cochran, Vernon Cochran, and Earl Cochran; and sister, Lucille Scott.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Dan (Annette) Malone; daughter-in-law, Lucy Malone; grandchildren, Rob (Melanie) Malone, Patrick (Kristina) Malone, Tonya (Duke) Fancher, Tony (Amanda) Kelty, and Jennifer Malone; 7 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Rouse, Nellie Rothwell, and Geraldine (Hank) Meiners; also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Ilda's caregivers and hospice for making her comfortable these past few weeks.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Bosley Funeral Home with Dr. David B. Whitlock officiating. Interment will follow in Old Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at Bosley Funeral Home.
