Mrs. Theresa Alberta Ewing, age 88, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Spring View Hospital. She was born on April 8, 1923 in Washington County, KY. Mrs. Ewing was a member of St. Augustine Church, and a former employee of Makers Mark Distillery.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Irvin Ewing; parents, John Arthur and Mary Genevieve Windfield Hamilton; son, Joseph Gary Ewing; granddaughter, Theresa Marie Whitehouse; sisters, Corine Ryan, Margaret O'Daniel, Lucille O'Daniel, and Elsie Carrico; brother, James Edward Hamilton.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Jo Whitehouse, of Bradfordsville, KY, Susan Ann Leedom, of Lebanon, KY; sons, John Robert "Bobby" Ewing, of Adrian, MI, John Irvine Ewing, Jr, of Lexington, KY, Thomas Keith Ewing, of Lexington, KY, James Brian Ewing, of Kernersville, N.C, Francis Samuel Ewing, of Lebanon, KY, James Hamilton Ewing, of Lexington, KY, Joseph Dennis Ewing, of Lebanon, KY;sisters, Helen Mattingly, of Lebanon, KY, Wilby Jean Brussell, of Louisville, KY; brother, John A. Hamilton, of Louisville, KY.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment in the church cemetery.
Visitations will be held after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
