Mr. Raphael Elias Owen, age 74, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the Village of Lebanon. He was born on October 31, 1936 in Marion County, Ky. Mr. Owen was a member of St. Michael Orthodox Church in Louisville, Ky. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army.
He is Preceded in Death By: Parents; Elias Andrew and Mary Fadel Owen; 3 Brothers: Phillip Elias, George Elias and Andrew Elias Owen.
Survivors Include: 1 Sister: Mrs. Anna (Sam) Norris of Glasgow, Ky.; 6 Brothers: Johnny E. (Nancy) Owen of Mont Juliet, Tennessee, Morris Owen of Lebanon, Ky., Jackie (Sandra) Owen of Lebanon, Ky., Ike (Janet) Owen of Lebanon, Ky., Owney (Sharon) Owen of Mt. Sterling, Ky., and Danny (Angela) Owen of Lebanon, Ky. Also surviving are several Nieces and Nephews and several Great-Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Bosley Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Alexis Kouri of St. Michael Orthodox Church, Louisville, Ky. Interment will be in Ryder Cemetery.
Visitations will be held 4:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home, with a Prayer Service being held 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
Expressions of Sympathy for Mr. Owen may take the form of Contributions made to the St. Michael Orthodox Church.
