Mr. Peter Charles Ware, Sr., age 82, resident of Lebanon, KY. for 27 years sadly passed away on February 7, 2017. Peter was born in New York, N.Y., and is predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Harold Ware. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1989 after 31 years of service. He was a devoted family man and especially proud of his children and grandchildren who will miss him dearly.

Peter leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Rosemary (nee Price) Ware. Elizabeth was born and raised in Lebanon and is a descendant of the Mark Thomas family. He also leaves behind four children: Peter C. Ware, Jr., of Harrison, N.J., Theresa Hicks, of Madison, TN, Robin Piper and husband Sam, of Longwood, FL, and Thomas Ware and wife June, of Imperial, PA; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Harold "Buddy" Ware, of Wrightstown, N.J., and sister, Joy Lieberman, of Toms River, N.J.

He is predeceased by his daughter, Ann Marie Ware; his granddaughter Heather Perez; his brothers Charles and Ronald; and his sisters, Ann Cullen, Lorraine Hill and Cathy D'Anton, all from the New York/New Jersey area.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. held by Brother Jerry Lanham. Interment will follow in Lebanon National Cemetery with military honors.
