Mrs. Pauline Mudd Abell, age 82, of Louisville, KY, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. She was born on December 8, 1928 in Marion County, KY. Mrs. Abell was a thirty-five year retired employee of Axton Candy and Tobacco Company.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James B. "Bert" Abell; parents, Phillip Owen and Mary Josephine Caldwell Mudd; sister, Patsy Von Nostitz, two brothers, Bobby and Bernard Mudd.

Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth A. "Betty Jo" Thomas, of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren, Marcia Golder, of Club Run, KY, Richard Thomas, Jr; three great-grandchildren, Jordon and Aaron Golder, and Libby Thomas; four brothers, Phillip, Jr, Fred, Mike, and Gene Mudd, all of Lebanon, KY; five sisters, JoAnn Tharp, of St. Frances, KY, Geneva Blair, of Louisville, KY, Carolyn Smith, of Louisville, KY, Juanita Spalding, of Louisville, KY, and Connie Pendygraft, of Louisville, KY.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Bosley Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jim Graf.

Visitations will be held at 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
