Patricia Ann Cowherd, age 63 of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Richard L. Roudebush VA Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born February 11, 1962 in Louisville to the late Johnson Edelen and Mary Elizabeth Cowherd. Patricia was retired from the United States Army; and she was an avid University of Louisville Fan.

Besides her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her siblings, Anna Anderson, Charles Cowherd, and Carl Cowherd.

Survivors include her children, Donta Jermaine Cowherd Johnson, Zackery Cruz Cowherd, Jasma Marshall Cowherd, Shequila Carol Cowherd, and Carl Wallace Cowherd; also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Bosley Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon National Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at Bosley Funeral Home.
