Nevelyn Foley, age 99, of Lexington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Center with her loving daughter by her side.

She was born on March 04, 1926 in Danville, Kentucky to the late George and Lily Gordon. Nevelyn was strong in her faith and read the Bible religiously. She had a deep love for animals and enjoyed reading and coloring in her spare time. She will forever be remembered for her classy sense of style.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell J. Foley; parents; three siblings, Lillian Covington, Ester Williams, George Gordon Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Gribbins (Jimmy) of Raywick; grandson, Joedy Gilliland (Kristie) of Bardstown; two step-grandchildren, Morgan Gribbins and Crystal Smothers; four great-grandchildren, Trey Gilliland, Lynnsie Gilliland, Brooklynn Gilliland, Raegan Thompson.

Also surviving are a host of extended relatives.

Non-ceremonial cremation was chosen with burial at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville.
