Mr. Monte Ray Edelen, age 54, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011. He was born on January 9, 1957 in Lebanon, KY. Mr. Edelen was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and a retired U.S. Army Reserves member.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Cornelius Edelen, Sr; two brothers, Melvin and Calvin Edelen; children's mother, Thelma Washington; devoted friend, Tracy Lamar.

Survivors include his mother, Naomi Ozetta Montgomery Edelen, of Lebanon, KY; two sons, Jason (Kim) Washington, Nathan (Amanda) Washington; two step-children, Jonathon and Aysia Hamilton; four brothers, Charles (Betty) Edelen, William (Mary Lillian) Edelen, Michael (Jeanie) Edelen, Pat (Sherri) Edelen; eight sisters, Julia (Clelland) Mattingly, Lorraine (Dr. Tom) Stevens, Connie (Fred) Jackson, Charlene (Dannie) Edwards, Sheila (Mark) Lewis, Jackie Edelen, Glenda (William) Jackson, Sabrina Edelen; seven grandchildren, Hannah, Le'Braesheonna, Jason, Jr, Dezarae, Alexis, Elijah, and Gabriel; also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitations will be held after 3:00 p.m. Monday, at Bosley Funeral Home, with a prayer service that evening at 7:00 by Deacon Joe Dant.
