Mary June Murphy Tharp, age 54 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 under the care of the Village of Lebanon and Hosparus, with her family by her side. Mary June was born January 15, 1963 in Marion County, KY, to June D. Murphy and the late Joseph Walter Murphy, Jr. Mary June was a loving mother and devoted daughter, sister, and grandmother. She retired from the Marion County Board of Education where she taught kindergarten and primary students for 18 years. Mary June also tirelessly devoted herself to Lebanon Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and various children's programs.

Mary June was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Walter Murphy, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, June D. Murphy, of Lebanon, KY; three daughters, Nannie Hill (Randy) of Lebanon, KY, Sarah Tharp, of Lebanon, KY, Rachael Culver (Josh), of Springfield, KY; eight grandchildren, Maddie, June Ann and Carlie Hill, Sam Tharp, Sarah, Maddie and Hannah Cropper, and Harrison Culver; sisters, Anita Byars and Jennifer Williams (Kenny).

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at Lebanon Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. David Whitlock. Interment to follow in the Sweeden Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Sweeden, KY.

Visitation will be at Lebanon Baptist Church as follows:
Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Monday, March 20, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
