Mary Magdalene Cowan Orberson, 93 passed away at 9:59 a.m. August 21st, 2026 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon Mary was born on July 31, 1933 at Glens Fork, KY to Lindsey and Pearl Bryant Cowan.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Willie Howard Orberson and son Willie Orberson Jr. Her stepsons Clifton, Joe Dee, James, Elbert, Alvin, Edward, Marion Orberson, and stepdaughters Margaret Cowan, Sadie Followell, Martha Hardin, and Alberta Orberson. Her brothers Esbert, Junis, Charles, Gilbert, Harlan, Thurman, and Carl Cowan. Her sisters Gladys Spurling and Lorrine Cowan.

She is survived by two sons Joe (Joy) Orberson of Gravel Switch and Jerry Orberson of Lebanon. Four daughters Virginia Henderson of Bradfordsville, Sylvia Willard of Columbus Indiana, Betty Mattingly and Carolyn (Chuck) Howell of Lebanon and step daughter Lillie Followell of Perryville. Mary was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren along with a host of step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Bosley Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Lanham officiating. Interment will follow in Hayesville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Bosley Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Jason Orberson, Jonothan Orberson, Elijah Orberson, JJ Orberson, Jerry Orberson, and Brian Rakes.
