Mrs. Mary Ethel Cowherd Porter, age 85 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at Spring View Hospital. She was born on November 27, 1929 in Lebanon, KY. Mrs. Porter worked at Mary Immaculate Hospital and retired from Community Action Head Start having forty years of service in 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Fannie Frances Durrett Cowherd; daughter, Debra Faye Porter; brothers, George, Harold, James and Ray Cowherd.

Survivors include her husband, William O'Neal Porter, of Lebanon, KY, two daughters, Mary Joyce Porter, of Evansville, IN, Sandra Trigg, of Lebanon, KY; son, David K. Porter, of Lebanon, KY; sister, Ruth Ann (Ralph) Williams, of Radcliff, KY; brother, John E. Cowherd, of Selma, OH. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Petie.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Bosley Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Tommy Calhoun and Father Lawman Chibundi. Interment to follow in Ryder Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
