Mrs. Martha "Pocky" Peterson, age 91, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at her residence. She was born on November 24, 1919 in Marion County, KY. Mrs. Peterson was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benedict Joseph "Ben' Peterson, Sr; parents, Victor A. and Martha Mahala Roney Wallace; son, Victor Wallace "Vic" Peterson; two brothers, Lawrence Peterson and Brother Julian "Vic" Peterson.
Survivors include her son, Ben (Bessie) Peterson, of Lebanon, KY; daughters, Joyce Gaddie, of Lebanon, KY, Patricia Abell, of Spartansburg, S.C, Sue (Mark) Nicol, of Atlanta, GA, Monzell (Dennis) Perry, of Cincinnati, OH, DeDe Peterson, of Mt. Washington, KY, daughter-in-law, Ann Peterson, of Lebanon, KY; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Jerry Bell. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
Visitations will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a prayer service that evening at 7:00 by Deacon Joe Dant.
