Theresa Kathryn "Kay" Beavers Turpin, age 45, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. She was born on July 14, 1975 in Lebanon, Kentucky. Kay was a professional barber for several years, then went on to run the Marion County Animal Shelter for eleven years. She was a passionate animal activist, and saved hundred of animals. Kay had a tender heart, and was fiercely loyal to those she loved. She was fun-loving, radiant, and had a contagious laugh. She was unwaveringly dedicated to her family, and was happiest when she was cooking for them. She was a proud Mimi, and loved spending time with her grandbabies. Kay will be forever remembered as a true friend to all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul W. Beavers; maternal grandparents, Theresa and Irvin Wheatley; and paternal grandparents, James and Kathryn Beavers.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Turpin; son, Wheatley Turpin; three step-children, Josh (Lindsey) Turpin, Jessi (John) Fields, and Jenni (Eric) Thomas; mother, Jo (Jim) Wheatley-Lunsford; brother, Brandon Beavers; special niece, Paige Beavers; and three grandchildren, Kennedy, Kameron, and Kyler Thomas; and five step-grandchildren, Evan and Drew Thomas; Tyler, Taylor and Nicole Fields; all of Lebanon.

Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, as well as her special pets, Sachi, Cash, Radar, Bubba, Oakley, Stella, Moses, Little Little, Kye, Maxine, Prince, and Phinn.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Bosley Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. officiated by Deacon Dennis May.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Bosley Funeral Home; services officiated by Deacon Dennis May. Interment to follow in St. Augustine Church Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 the funeral home is limited to 60% capacity. Facemasks are required to enter the facilities. Food and drinks are prohibited at this time.
