Mrs. Karen Spalding, age 57 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 at Norton Brownboro Hospital in Louisville. She was born on July 7, 1956 in Marion County, KY. Karen was the County Clerk for Marion County and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, John A. Spalding.

Survivors include her husband, David (Doc) Spalding, of Lebanon, KY; mother, Cecilia Daughterty Spalding, of Lebanon, KY; daughter, Shawna (Ronnie) Richerson, of Lebanon, Ky; two sons, Scott (Lauren) Spalding and Patrick Spalding, both of Lebanon, KY; three brothers, Barry, Dewayne, and Chris Spalding, all of Lebanon, KY; four grandchildren, Justin and John Lucas Richerson, Olivia and Colton Spalding.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, celebrated by Rev. Mark Spalding. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitations will be held from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Bosley Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening by Deacon Joe Dant.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Marion County Handicapped Association or to the American Heart Association.
