Mr. Joseph Martin Thomas, age 82, passed away Saturday, January 08, 2022 at his residence.

He was born May 24, 1939 in Marion County. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Joe retired from the Ford Truck Plan and lived a quiet, happy life in Lebanon, Kentucky with his wife of almost 30 years, Carolyn Thomas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Aloysius and Agnes Roberta Ford Thomas Sr.; one brother, Theodore "Teddy" Thomas; and one sister, Suella Cissell.

His survivors include his wife, Carolyn Thomas; one brother, Robert (Kathleen) Thomas of Lebanon; three sisters, Janie (late "Pete") Caldwell of Lexington, Margaret Alice (Benny) Boone of Lebanon, and Patricia Ann (late Vick) Moore of Springfield. Also surviving are three children; Kirt (Sheila) Thomas of Georgia, Dana (Joey) Peterson and Mitchell (Dana) Thomas of Lebanon, six step children- Cheryl (Sammy) Medley of Loretto, Debbie (Keith) Edelen of Loretto, Kaye (John) Sapp of Lebanon, Monty (Mia) Bradshaw of Lawrenceburg, Paul (late Karen) Bradshaw and Glen (Simone) Bradshaw all of Lebanon; and a host of grand and great-grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at a 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January, 12, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church; Rev. Mark Hamilton will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. officiated by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers will be his son, Kirt Thomas, Monty, Glen and Paul Bradshaw, Sammy Medley, Keith Edelen and John Sapp.
