Joseph Paul "Snit" Caldwell, Sr, age 82 of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born on October 20, 1931 in Lebanon, KY. Mr. Caldwell was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivo Caldwell, Sr. and Martha Ethel Abell Caldwell; six brothers, Austin E., Ivo, Jr., L.V., Daniel, Robert, and George Caldwell; four sisters, Cecilia, O'Dele, Mary, and Margaret Caldwell.

Survivors include a son, Joseph Paul "Jody" Caldwell, Jr., of Louisville, KY, three daughters, Sondra Harp, of Louisville, KY, Tammy Caldwell, of Atlanta, GA, Valerie Richerson, of Ekron, KY; four grandchildren, Cory Harp, Britney Richerson, Elizabeth Richerson, and Noah Richerson; two sisters, Aileen Young and Bernadine Thomas, both of Lebanon, two brothers, Fabian Caldwell, of Louisville, KY, and Nicholas Caldwell, of Springfield, KY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
