Joseph Michael "Mike" Hayden, age 53, of Springfield, passed away Sunday July 18, 2021 at Spring View Hospital. He was born May 08, 1968 in Marion County.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Cecelia Catherine Porter; brother, David Wayne; and grandfather, Walter Porter.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lucy Hayden; daughters, Michelle and Cateline Hayden; father, Lawrence Hayden; brothers, Joe (Teresa) Hayden, and Jamie (Delphine) Hayden; sister, Jennifer (Peno) Hayden-Burton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hiroshi and Kimiyo Sato; brother-in-law, Seiichi Sato; three nieces, one nephew, three step-nieces, eleven great nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Tony.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 23, 2021 at St. Charles Catholic Church. Cremation will follow services and burial at St. Charles Church Cemetery will take place at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday July 22, 2021 at Bosley Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. officiated Deacon Joe Dant.
