Mr. Joseph Francis "Frank" O'Daniel, age 79, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011
at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born on January 31, 1932 in Marion County, KY. Mr. O'Daniel was a U.S. Army Veteran, a dedicated farmer, owner of Frank O'Daniel & Sons Nursery, a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, and a member of the Marion County Veterans' Honor Guard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Mary Ursula Russell O'Daniel; infant children, John Robert and Mary Jane O'Daniel; two brothers, Joseph Harold "Joe" and Leon O'Daniel; four sisters, Rosie Krebs, Anna Belle Mattingly, Lucy Mudd, and Kathleen Begley.
Survivors include, wife, Elvina Luckett O'Daniel, of Lebanon, KY; three sons, Mike (Janelle) O'Daniel, of Lebanon, KY, Doug (Carolyn) O'Daniel, of Lebanon, KY, Gerald (Amy- Speciial Friend) O'Daniel, Lebanon, KY; three daughters, Margaret (Joey) Cissell, of Loretto, KY, Rita (Joe) Graves, of Lebanon, KY, Susan (Eddie) Ballard, of Lebanon, KY; brother, James O'Daniel, of Springfield, KY, sister, Ruby Johnson, of Lebanon, KY, sixteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three step-grandchildren, and one step-great-granddaughter also survives.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Jim Graf. Interment will be in St. Charles Church Cemetery.
Visitations will be held after 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with a prayer service that evening at 7:00 by Deacon Joe Dant.
