Joseph Donald "Don" Elder, age 82, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. He was born July 19, 1938 in Lebanon.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Elder; parents, Arthur Elder, and Hazel Mattingly; brother, John Elder; and sisters, Betty Burress, Alice Campbell, Judy Mudd, and Shirley Luckett.

He is survived by three sons, David Wayne (Fran) Elder of Lexington, Joseph Donald (Ellen) Elder Jr. of Versailles, and Richard Todd (Kelli) Elder of Lebanon; two daughters, Charlene (Danny Ray) Bradshaw of Lebanon, and Vickie Elder of Alabama; brothers, Charles Elder, and Jim (Geri) Elder; and grandchildren, Wayne Campbell, Stevie Helm, Derrick Elder, Austin Elder, Austin Elder, Alesha Elder, Casey Montgomery, and Justin Elder.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday December 17, 2020 at Bosley Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is restricted to 50% capacity. Visitors paying their respects will be asked to wait during busy period until others leave before entering the funeral home. Only sixty-five members will be able to be present for the funeral. Facemasks are required to enter the building, hand washing and practice social distancing. Food and drinks are not permitted at this time.
