John Henry Wayne, age 77 of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 09, 1947 in Lebanon to the late Roy Francis Wayne and Lida Hunt Wayne

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Wayne; step-son, Ricky Anthony Mattingly; sisters, Dorothy Farmer Sagracy, and JoAnn Wayne Sagracy; and brothers, Leroy Wayne, and Howard Wayne Jr.

Survivors include his sons, Mark (Mona) Wayne, and Jodie (Decora) Wayne; daughter, Carla Wayne; grandchildren, Justin Wayne, Nicole (Michael) Boots, Addi (Owen) Mattingly, CJ Wayne, Carly Jo Murphy, Jarrad (Lillie) Mattingly, Eric (Sanda) Mattingly, and Ashley (Homer) Grimsley; also surviving are 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Bosley Funeral Home, with Rev Clellan Hays officiating. Interment will follow in Ryder Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Bosley Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Nicole Boots, Addi Mattingly, CJ Wayne, MiKaila Wayne, Landon Boots, Tye Boots, and Michael Boots.

Honorary pallbearers are Justin Wayne, Dominic Wayne, Aubrey Wayne, Bradley Pittman, Autumn Read, Easton Mattingly, Owen Mattingly, Eric Mattingly, Ashley Mattingly, Jarrad Mattingly, Melvin James, Melichi James, Carly Jo Murphy, and Josh Orberson.
