It is with profound sadness we announce John Irvine Ewing, born on May 25, 1955, in Lebanon, Kentucky, to the late Alberta and John I. Ewing, Sr., peacefully passed on March 12, 2025 at the VA Hospice Community Living Center (The Cottages) in Lexington, Kentucky.

His kindness touched everyone he met, and his legacy will live on through his family and friends. Included are his beloved Linda Howell, two daughters Christina Coots, Jennifer Donahue and four grandchildren, Aaron Coots, Matthew Donahue, Emily Donahue, Mason Donahue and one great-grandchild, Baker Coots.

His memory will forever be cherished by eight surviving siblings: John Robert Ewing, Mary Jo (Robert) Whitehouse, Thomas Keith Ewing, James Brian (Annette) Ewing, Susan Ann (Louie) Leedom, Frances Samuel Ewing, James Hamilton Ewing, Joseph Dennis Ewing, and numerous nieces and nephews across the country.

He was preceded in death by brother, Joseph Gary Ewing, his maternal grandparents, John and Genevie Winfield Hamilton and paternal grandparents, Joseph Clarence and Lucy Bradshaw Ewing and son-in-law, Gary Donahue.

Retiring in May of 2022, John was a faithful employee of G & J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc., for forty-seven years. John's life was a testament to the love and joy he brought to the world, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, March 18th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bosley Funeral Home, 246 S. Proctor Knott Avenue, Lebanon, Kentucky 40033. Funeral services, Pastor Neal Gordon officiating, will be conducted Wednesday, March 19th at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery, Lebanon, Kentucky.
