John B. “Bubba” Craig CBC, born in Lebanon, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Theresa Craig, passed away at his residence on Saturday, August 15.
Bubba shared 50 years of marriage with his loving wife, Lu Ann Craig. Together, they built a life centered around family and were blessed with five children and ten grandchildren.
Bubba was the father of Doug (DeRhonda) Thompson of Springfield, John “BJ” (Candy) Craig of Winchester, the late Charles Bryon Craig, Andrea (Matthew) Gribbins of Lebanon, and Megan (Randy) Mattingly of Lebanon.
He was a proud grandfather to Seth Thompson, Eain Thompson, Charlie Craig, Eli Craig, Olivia Gribbins, Keegan Gribbins, Bryon Mattingly, Aspen Mattingly, Veda Mattingly, and Weston Mattingly.
Bubba was one of five children and had four siblings: Grace Mattingly, Mary Ann Mattingly, Chuck Craig, and Joe Mark Craig.
Bubba proudly served his country in the United States military. He also had a lifelong love of cars, an interest that brought him great enjoyment throughout the years.
More than anything, Bubba loved his family. His greatest legacy is the family he and Lu Ann built during their 50 years together and the many memories he leaves with his children and grandchildren. His life and the love he shared with those around him will continue through the generations that follow.
Bubba will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
