Mr. John Henry "Boog" Wathen, Jr, age 79 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born on April 27, 1933 in Marion County, KY. Mr. Wathen was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired employee of the Ford Motor Company, and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Doody Wathen; sister, Mollie Lee Wathen.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Bowling Wathen, of Lebanon, KY, two sons, John H. Wathen, of Lebanon, KY, Michael B. (Terry) Wathen, of Lebanon, KY; two daughters, Lisa Wathen Eubank, of Lebanon, KY, Suellen (Dr. Greg) D'Angelo, of Lexington, KY; seven grandchildren, Jim Russell (Amber) and Kathleen Eubank, Daniel and Alex Wathen, Jo Ellen, John, and Louisa D'Angelo; brother, Patrick Doody (Doris) Wathen, of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Mary Brown (David) Homme, of Fullerton, CA, Linda Sue (Harold) Eberenz, of Mainville, OH, Catherine Anita Schumacher, of St. Louis, MO.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Bill Bowling. Interment will be in St. Augustine Church Cemetery.

Visitations will be held after 3:00 p.m. Monday at Bosley Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening.
