Mr. John Edgar Belden, age 99, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Gerogetown Manor in Louisville, KY. He was born on September 14, 1911 in Casey County, Ky. Mr. Belden was a retired barber.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Frank "Willie" and Anne Goode Belden; brothers, Elvin, Leo, Clarence, Delmer, and Oval Belden; sisters, Mrytle Smothers, Pearlie Branic, Gertrude Thompson and Ona Peacock.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Martha E. Belden, of Lebanon, KY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the funeral home, officiated by Minister Charles Blevins. Interment will be in Ryder Cemetery.
Visitations will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
