Mr. Joe Willie Waymon, age 84, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at Flaget Hospital in Bardstown.
He was born on March 16, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

Joe lived for 50 plus years in Bradfordsville. He was a member of the Bradfordsville United Methodist Church. Joe worked 25 plus years at Lebanon Oak Flooring Company and then started his concrete finishing business, Waymon Concrete Construction where he retired. He loved to work and enjoyed every minute of it. Joe loved his family and wanted them all close by. He enjoyed driving around in his truck and hanging out at the store in Bradfordsville where there were always many good friends. Joe was a man who loved to joke around and would help anyone whether he knew them or not. He had a truly kind heart. He loved God and loved to listen to gospel music. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Lillard & Hattie Waymon --- mother and father-in-law --- Nell and Lucain Purdom; sister Zelma and brothers Edgar, Vernon, Charles and Harold.

Survivors include wife of 65 years Rita Larose Purdom Waymon; two daughters Bonnie (George) Smothers and Debbie (David) Edwards. Grandchildren: Joe Tungate, Amanda (Rusty)Wood and Charlie Tungate (Kayla). Great grandchildren: Austin, Cameron, Ethan, Layla, Jayla, Kaden, Charlee, Kaitlin and Lindsey. Sisters Alma (Conrad) Ford, Stella Lynch, brothers Donald (Jane) Waymon and Junior Waymon. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Bosley Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Old Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the funeral home.
