Mr. James William "Tommy" Spalding, Sr. age 71, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at his residence. He was born on June 6, 1940 in Marion County, KY. Mr. Spading was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Timmon and Alberta Stark Spalding.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Porter Spalding, of Lebanon, KY; three sons, James William Spalding, Jr, George O. (Mary) Porter, of Connecticut; Lee Bridgewater, of Lebanon, KY; eight daughters, Annette Thompson, of Cincinnati, OH, Rochelle Samuels, of Cincinnati, OH, Sondra Thompson, of Cincinnati, OH, Tina Spalding, of Lebanon, KY, Amanda Spalding, of Richmond, KY, Bobbi Dixon, of Lebaon, KY, Linda (David) Litsey,of Lebanon, KY, Melissa (Joseph) Young, of Lebanon, KY; three sisters, Thelma Smith, of Lebanon, KY, Kathy Porter, of Lebanon, KY, Wanda Douglas, of Lebanon, KY; brother, James Henry "Friday" Spalding, of Lebanon, KY; thirty-four grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren survive.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Bill Bowling. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitations will be held after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bosley Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 Tuesday evening by Deacon Joe Dant.
