Mr. James Frederick "Fred" Mudd, age 71 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at his residence. He was born on August 22, 1945 in Lebanon, KY. Mr. Mudd was a retired dairy farmer, retired maintenance supervisor of Summa Technology and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Mr. Mudd loved being with family and adored his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Owen and Josephine Caldwell Mudd; two brothers, Bernard Mudd (Minnie Ida), Bobby Mudd; four sisters, Pauline Abell (Bert), Joan Tharp (Don), Patsy Von Nostiz (Carl), and Juanita Spalding.

Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Sharon Mattingly Mudd, of Lebanon, KY, son, James Fredrick "Junior" Mudd (Johanna), of Lebanon, KY, four daughters, Rita Clark (Tony), Martha Mattingly (Eddie), Janice Royalty (Chris), Angie Marrett (Eddie), all of Lebanon, KY; four brothers, Emmett Spalding (brother-in-law), of Louisville, KY, Phillip Owen Mudd, Jr., of Louisville, KY, Mike Mudd (Sandy), of Lebanon, KY, Gene Mudd (Mary Ann), of Lebanon, KY; three sisters, Geneva Blair, of Louisville, KY, Caroline Smith, of Louisville, KY, Connie Pendygraft (Ralph), of Louisville, KY.

Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Bosley Funeral Home. Prayer services will be held at 7:00 Thursday evening by Deacon Joe Dant.
