James Frances "Jimmy" Hughes, age 79, of Calvary, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on October 12, 1942 to the late Joseph Hughes and Clarice Wathen Hughes. Mr. Hughes was a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Joyce Hughes; parents.

Survivors include his two daughters, Debbie Carrico-Sprague (Andy) of Morganfield, KY and Angie (Gary) Caldwell of Calvary; four grandchildren, Tommy (Amanda) Carrico, Olivia Carrico, Brandon Caldwell, Nathan Caldwell; three step-grandchildren, Emma Sprague, Olivia Sprague, Drew Ann Sprague; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Carrico, Louis Hamilton Carrico, Charlie Carrico; three brothers, Jodie Hughes, Charles Hughes, John Hughes; six sisters, Kathleen Wright, Pauline Buckman, Sue Ann Spalding, Gean Munday, Susan Moore, Mary Hughes.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service that will be held at 7:00 P.M.; officiated by Deacon Joe Dant.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Marion County Good Samaritans Foundation.
