Mrs. Hattie Frances Simpson, age 85, of Gravel Switch, KY, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at her residence. She was born on February 22, 1926 in Marion County, KY. Mrs. Simpson was a retired Bus Monitor with the Marion County School System.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley "J.W." Simpson (1996); parents, John Henry and Sarah Annie Hall Elliott, Sr; three sisters, Lottie Mae Simpson, Rosa Corine Akin, Carrie Lou Rinehart; three brothers, John Henry Elliott, William Lee Elliott, Franklin Delanor Elliott; two step-sisters, Ethal Sapp, Jewell Chandler; two step-brothers, Henry Elliott, Emin Elliott.

Survivors include son, Timothy Ray Simpson, Gravel Switch, KY; granddaughter, Amanda Rose Mattingly; grandson, John Timothy Simpson; great-granddaughter, Abby Rose Mattingly; three sisters, Mattie Pearl Bedford, Dorothy Faye Mattingly, Anna Marilyn Farris; brother, Charles Marvin "Buddy" Elliott.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Simpson will be held at 12 noon, Friday, January 20, 2012 at Bosley Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Kyle Claunch. Interment will be in the Lebanon National Cemetery.

Visitations will be held after 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
