Francis Eugene "Gene" Mudd, age 69, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, March 08, 2019 in his home surrounded by loved ones. Gene was born in Lebanon and was a devoted husband of 50 years to Mary Ann, loving father of five children, and grandfather of eight. He was a devoted member of St. Augustine Catholic Church as well as a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Owen Mudd and Josephine Caldwell Mudd; son,Tommy Mudd; three brothers, Bernard Mudd, Fred Mudd and Bobby Mudd; four sisters, Pauline Abell, Joan Tharp, Juanita Spalding, Pat VonNostitz.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann Thomas Mudd of Lebanon, KY; two sons, Bill (Michelle) Mudd of Louisville, KY, Eric Mudd of Lebanon, KY; two daughters, Lori (Tom) Sparks of Lebanon, KY, Debbie Mudd (Talbin Overstreet) of Lebanon, KY; eight grandchildren, Alec Mudd, Jarred Mudd, Lucas Mudd, Leah Mudd, Rachel Mudd, Kaitlyn Mudd, Hannah Mudd, Ethan Sparks; two brothers, Phillip "June Bug" Mudd of Louisville, KY, Mike Mudd of Lebanon, KY; three sisters, Geneva Blair, Carolyn Smith, Connie Pendygraft, all of Louisville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:30 P.M. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Bosley Funeral Home, with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 P.M.; officiated by Deacon Joe Dant.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form on contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
