Mrs. Frances Thornton Tucker, 100, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013. She was born June 20, 1913 to the late Millard and Mary Beard Thornton and was married to the late Everett Tucker. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1936. She was a school teacher who taught home economics for many years at schools in Bradfordsville, Flemingsburg, Stanford and Lebanon, KY. Teaching was an integral part of her life, whether it be in the school, church or community. She also enjoyed her bridge clubs, Monday Study Club and Thoreau Club. She was a devoted Christian and member of the Bradfordsville United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Throughout her life she was blessed in many ways with caregivers who have tended to her needs and for the last several years at the Village of Lebanon.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Thornton Tucker M.D., and his wife Caron Larsen Tucker; two grandchildren, Frances Elizabeth Tucker and Austin Thomas Tucker.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Bradfordsville United Methodist Church. Interment to follow in the Old Liberty Cemetery.

Visitations will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Bosley Funeral Home.
