Mrs. Effie Gertrude Lawson, age 93, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. She was born on June 3, 1918 in Marion County, KY. Mrs. Lawson worked as a Supervisor at Jane & Linda Sportswear.

She is preceded in death by her her husband, William Howard Lawson; parents, Elmer Martin and Fannie Riggs Minor; brother, Parker Minor.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Lawson, of Lebanon, KY, Charles H. Lawson, of Taylorsville, KY; brother, Charles Wallace Minor, of Mt. Washington, KY; two sisters, Beulah Roller, of Lebanon, KY, Rachel Peavy, of Lebanon, KY; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Lawson will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Lebanon United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Darren Gillespie. Interment will be in Ryder Cemetery.

Visitations will be held after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Bosley Funeral Home.
