Mrs. Edna Lucille Lawson, age 95, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown, KY. She was born on March 25, 1916 in Washington County, KY.
Mrs. Lawson was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church, the Powell Chapter #266 Order of the Eastern Star, and was a retired employee of Spring View Nursing Home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.O. Lawson; parents, Tom and Annie Claybrooke Wise; son, James Otho Lawson, Jr; granddaughter, Ronda Beckham; son-in-law, Ronald Beckhem; sisters, Cora and Lillian Wise; brothers, T.B. Wise, Brooks Wise, Bob Wise.
She is survived by her daughter, Liliian Lawson Beckham, of Lebanon, KY; sons, Jerry (Frankie) Lawson, of Elizabethtown, KY, Robert (Susi) Lawson, of Burnside, KY; sister, Tillie May, of Kerrville, TX; sister-in-laws, Gertrude Lawson, of Lebanon, KY, Sarah Wise, of Lexington, KY, Mary Wise, of Louisville, KY; eleven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; twelve step-great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at Lebanon Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Wesley Noss and Dr. David Whitlock. Interment will be in Hayesville Cemetery.
Visitations will be held after 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memebers of the Eastern Star Chapter #266 will have memorial services at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
