Douglas H. Jenkins, Jr., age 74, of Lebanon, passed away November 02, 2021 at Spring View Hospital. He was born on March 02, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Douglas H. Jenkins, Sr. and Virginia Opal Curry Jenkins. Douglas H. Jenkins Jr was an accomplished musician who played trumpet in many weddings and was a part of several musical groups such as Derby City Brass, Bourbon City Brass, and Mid-Kentucky Chorus. He was active in church where he cantered for many years at Saint Augustine. Doug served his community and loved his career helping people as a pharmacist. He owned and operated Hagan O'Daniel Pharmacy from 1984 to 1994 and later retired from Kroger Pharmacy after serving 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Curry Jenkins.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Hill Jenkins of Lebanon; five children, David (Dr. Maria) Jenkins of Louisville, Dr. Jenny Jenkins Lewis (Dr. Scott Lewis) of Louisville, Andrew (Megan) Jenkins of Lexington, Douglas H. Jenkins III of Lexington, Dr. Julia (Timothy) Dawson of Louisville; mother-in-law, Veronica Hill of Lebanon; sister, Donna Lynn Jenkins of Richmond; seven grandchildren, Ann Douglas, Virginia, Conrad, Meredith, Benjamin, Willow, Charlie.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-5:00 P.M. Sunday, November 07, 2021 at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service that will be held at 4:00 P.M., officiated by Deacon Joe Dant.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 08, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment to follow in Lebanon National Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy maybe made to: St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Augustine School, or Mid-Kentucky Chorus.
