Dorothy Stumph Followell was born in Marion County, KY. Her parents were the late Anna Mattingly Stumph and Sidney Stumph, both of Marion County. She was married to the late John F. Followell. They had three sons: Ricky and his wife Denise, Wendell and his wife Patty, and Kevin and his wife Laurie.

She worked in the garment industry for 45 years until the factory closed. Since then, she has helped neighbors and friends whenever she could with whatever the need might be. She was a lifelong member of the Lebanon Baptist Church where she attended regularly.

Besides her three sons, she is survived by three grandchildren; J.R. Followell and his wife Cori, Nicole Followell Bush and her husband Jon, and Anna Followell-Finley and her husband Paul. She also has five great-grandchildren; Josie, Wesley and Bailey Followell, and Zevie and Neiv Bush.

She is also survived by two sisters, Ann Peyton and Guy Eula Thompson and two brothers, Clifford Stumph and Jerry Stumph.

Mrs. Followell had two sisters that preceded her in death, Elizabeth "Lib" Skaggs and Justine Huber.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Bosley Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Wesley Noss. Interment to follow in Old Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at the funeral home.
