Mr. David George Sims, age 69 of Bradfordsville, KY, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at his residence. He was born on July 15, 1948 in Boyle County, KY. After graduating from Danville High School in 1967, Mr. Sims attended Western Kentucky University before enlisting in the United States Marines.

He is preceded in death by, Father, Jesse Sims; Mother, Necia Adams
Sims; Brother, Bennie Sims; two sisters, Bernice Sims Merrick and Joan Sims Teebs.

He is survived by his companion of twenty-five years, Virginia Henderson, of Bradfordsville, KY; son, David Teague Sims and his wife, Dr. Laura Bonzo-Sims, of Lexington, KY; grandson, Griffin Sims, of Lexington, KY; Virginia's children, Brian Rakes, of Campbellsville, KY, George Rakes, of Lebanon, KY, Mary Ann Rakes, of Louisville, KY; sister, Ruby Sims Bodner, of Danville, KY.

The family has chosen cremation and a Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Bosley Funeral Home.

Visitations will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to The Marion County Veterans Honor Guard, 50 Old Loretto Road, Lebanon, KY 40033.
