Chief Joseph Solomon "Joe" Bell , age 58, of Lebanon, KY, departed this life on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Taylor Regional Medical Center in Campbellsville, KY. He was born January 14, 1953 in Lebanon, KY. Joe loved his family, and enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Miles Chapel Church. He worked with the Lebanon Police Department for 30+ years, being appointed as Chief of Police in March 2010. Joe had a passion for Lebanon's youth. He coached Marion County youth football, softball, and baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Alton and Goldie White Bell; five brothers, James, Risteen, John, Clarkson, and Harvey, Jr. Bell; four sisters, Frances Spalding, Love Taylor, Alice Moore, and Anna Pirela.
He is survived by his fiancee- Susan Elaine Yocum; daughter, Lynette Bell; two sons, Quincy Bell and Jonas Murrell; grandchildren, DeAndre, Jade, Kentasia, and Keriona Bell;  two sisters, Maggie and Josephine Bell; brother, Clarence Bell.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at  Marion County High School. Interment will be in the St. Augustine Church Cemetery.

Visitations will be as followed:
Friday - after 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home
Saturday- 8:00 a.m. until time of service at the High School
