Charles William "Billy" Cecil, age 72, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 in Calvary. He was born March 30, 1951 in Lebanon to the late John James Cecil and Agnes Viola Cecil.

Billy proudly served our country in the United States Army for several years. He was a lifelong farmer and also worked at General Electric for many years. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Robert Cecil; and two brothers-in-law, Mike Benningfield and David Paris.

His survivors include one son, Kirk (Amy) Cecil of Tompkinsville; two daughters, Ashley (Dale) Davis of Louisville and Paige (Luke) Cecil of Lebanon Junction; two brothers, Jimmy (Elaine) Cecil of Lebanon and Marion (Cheryl) Cecil of Calvary; three sisters, Carolyn Benningfield of Georgia, Eva Paris of Lebanon, and Kathleen (Nicky) Pinkston of Springfield; three grandchildren, Lucas Cecil, Zoey Davis and Olivia Davis. A host of other relatives and friends also survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 21, 2023 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Bosley Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. and will be officiated by Deacon Dennis May.

Pallbearers will be: Jamie Abell, Jamie Cecil, Jeremy Spalding, Ryan Mattingly, Jeffery Cecil and Adam Cecil.
