Mrs. Cecilia Jane Borders Thomas, age 90 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Loretto Motherhouse in Loretto, KY. She was born on November 1, 1927 in Marion County, KY. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Burton Thomas (1997); parents, Judge Roy T. and Leonora Elder Borders; sons, Gerald Thomas, Ronnie Thomas and Stewart Thomas; sisters, Celine Beckers, Emily Coyle, Barbara Durham; brothers, Roy Borders, Jr, Hugh Borders, Joseph Borders; son-in-law, Sonny Durham.
Survivors include four daughters, Jane Zimmer (Don), of Longwood, FL, Marla Buntain (Terry), of Springfield, KY, Sandy Drye (Joe), Lebanon, KY, Beverly Durham, of Lebanon, KY; four brothers, Arnold Borders (Julie), of Hopkinsville, KY, Harry Borders (Evelyn), of Versailles, KY, Jim Borders (Brenda), of Albuquerque, N.M., Terry Borders (Vicki), of Indianapolis, IN; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Bosley Funeral Home. Prayer Services will be held at 7:00 Sunday evening.
