Catherine Imogene Spalding, age 91, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, December 07, 2020 at The Village of Lebanon Nursing Home. She was born November 13, 1929 in Marion County. Imogene was a devoted wife, and selfless mother. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and most of all quilting, until Alzheimer's took that joy from her.

She was preceded in death by: her husband of 67 years, Richard H. "Bob" Spalding; her parents, Charles Arthur Hill and Louise Edelen Hill; two sons, William A. "Billy" Spalding, and Paul Martin Spalding; one granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Spalding; one son-in-law, Paul Peterson; two brothers, Joseph Wilburn Hill, and Edward "Buck" Hill; three sisters, Agnes E. Hill, Mary Ellen Jarboe and Dorothy Louise Hill.

Survivors include two sons, Joe H. (Joyce) Spalding, and Mike (Trena) Spalding, both of Lebanon; four daughters, Phyllis (Ken) Barnett, of Louisville, Debbie (Doug) Hamilton, of Springfield, Kaye Peterson, of Lebanon, and Fran (Terry) Smith of Loretto; four sisters, Lawrencia Brussell, of Lebanon, Louise Eichenberger, of Louisville, Margaret Marshman, of Chicago, IL, and Jane (Jack) McGowan, of Middletown, Delaware. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the care and compassion provided by the heroes who work at The Village of Lebanon Nursing Home and assisted living facilities, and also Hosparus.
