Mrs. Blanche Cecilia Elder Thomas, age 64 of Loretto, KY, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born on April 7, 1949 in Marion County, KY. Mrs. Thomas worked as a Production Specialist at American Greetings Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Francis Earl "Frank" Thomas (2010); parents, Hubert Martin and Clara Cecilia Higdon Elder; sister, Edna Mae Elder.

Survivors include daughter, Susan Carpenter (Travis) Grady, of Loretto, KY; son, Marty (Julie) Thomas, of Lebanon, KY; four sisters, Kathy Wimsatt, of Bardstown, KY, Grace White, of Loretto, KY, Margie Blandford, of St. Francis, KY, Martha Jean (Lane) Harris, of Louisiana; six brothers, Dave (Sandy) Elder, of Rockland, CA, Jerry (Sadie) Elder, of Raywick, KY, Phillip (Judy) Elder, of Lebanon, KY, Greg (Carlotta) Elder, of Loretto, KY, Mitchell (Ann) Elder, of Mt. Washington, KY, Martin Elder, of Loretto, KY: six grandchildren, Kara, Anna and Michael Carpenter, Kristen Cox, Dylan Thomas and Alexis Carrier; two great-grandchildren, Andy Cox and Tommy Cox.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at St. Charles Catholic Church, celebrated by Rev. Terry Bradshaw. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitations will be held after 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Bosley Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 Thursday evening by Deacon Joe Dant.
