Mrs. Betty Gray McCarty, age 71, of Lebanon, KY, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at her residence. She was born on November 16,1939 in Samson, North Carolina. Mrs. McCarty was a sales clerk at Wal-Mart, and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Arthur and Lonnie Jane Bass; two brothers, Clarence Fowler and Arthur Bass.
Survivors include her husband, Darrell McCarty, of Lebanon, KY; two daughters, Sandra Faulkner, of Campbellsville, KY, Pamela Harrington, of Bardstown KY; son, William McDaniel, of Liberty, Ky; step-daughter, Tracy McCarty, of S.C; step-son, Troy McCarty, of Raywick, KY; two sisters, Nettie Norris, of Clinton, N.C., Joann Pierce, of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Bobby Bass, of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, Demetrice Underwood, Chris Harrington, and Toni Mills; two great-grandchlidren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, at Woodlawn Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Gregory Haynes. Interment will be in Muldraugh Hill Church Cemetery.
Visitations will be held after 3:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
