Betsy Lou Mattingly, age 86 of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Spring View Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 06, 1938 in Lebanon to the late Clarence and Lucille (Bradshaw) Ewing. Mrs. Mattingly was a devoted member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and worked in the cafeteria at St. Augustine School until her retirement.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Louis Mattingly; sisters, Lucy Ewing and Dorothy Buckler; and brothers, Clarence Ewing Jr., Gerald Ewing, John Irvin Ewing, and Melvin Ewing.

Survivors include her sons; Mitchell (Faye) Mattingly of Lebanon, and Marty (Trina) Mattingly of Richmond, daughters, Jackie (Wayne) Byars of Kansas City, and Jennifer (Jim) Sympson of Bardstown; brothers, Billy Ewing of Louisville, and Glenn Ewing of Frankfort; sister, Carol Craven of Louisville; also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with Fr. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. officiated by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
