Elizabeth Ann Hice Kirkland, age 72 of Lebanon, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 07, 2023 at her residence. She was born October 30, 1950 in Jasper, AL to the late Jim Hice and Florine Hice Taylor. Ann graduated from the University of Alabama in 1976 with a Masters Degree in Education/Administration. She was a teacher for 32 years; teaching 5 ^th and 6 ^th grades at T.R. Simmons Elementary School in Jasper, AL, from 1975-1982; 5 ^th and 6 ^th grades at Payne Elementary School in Selma, AL, from 1983-1989; 6 ^th grade at Brownwood Intermediate School in Brownwood, TX, from 1990-2001; Outreach Consultant at Lincoln Elementary in Salinas, CA, from 2003-2004; and then 5 ^th grade at Croft Elementary in Nashville, TN, from 2010-2013. After retiring from teaching, she worked for Scott Equipment in Nashville, TN.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Hice and Florine Hice Taylor.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Larry Kirkland of Lebanon; step-children, Jeff (Jessica) Kirkland of Frisco, TX, and Emily (Mitch) Hibbs of Austin, TX; sister, Marian Tucker of Jasper, AL; and step-grandchildren, Collin Kirkland and Henry Hibbs.

Per Ann's wishes, private cremation was chosen.
