Ann G. Colvin Stringer, age 88, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, KY. Ann was born in Marion County, KY. on June 24, 1922. She resided in Louisville, having been a homemaker and a retired employee of the Baptist Book Store.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Arthur and Nannie Franklin Colvin.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Martin Stringer, of Scottsville, KY; daughters, Judith Stringer Brown, of Georgetown, KY, Sharon (Michael) Stringer Parsons, of Henderson, KY; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur Colvin, of Danville, KY; sisters, Lucille Colvin Brockman, of Louisville, KY, Evelyn Colvin Burris, of Lebanon, KY.
Ann will be remembered for her stead fast faith in God and her compassion for others. The family would like to thank her care givers at Redbanks Nursing Home for the care and love shown to her.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Victor Stansbury. Interment will be in the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitations will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
