Rev. Alvin Wren, Jr., age 68, of Bradfordsville, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born on December 25, 1951 in Marion County. For 47 years, Alvin pastored South Fork Presbyterian Church in Bradfordsville. Alvin was an employee at WLSK/WLBN radio station having worked in radio for 30 plus years. Alvin also previously served as a police dispatcher for the city of Lebanon for 15 years where he retired. Alvin was a dedicated member of his church and community leaving behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. As the "voice' of Marion County, Alvin's love for the Lord and his family, along with the people of Marion County, will always be remembered.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lora Ellen Wren; parents, Alvin Wren, Sr and Martha Lorene Willard Wren.

Survivors include his son, Ashley Alvin Wren of Bradfordsville; daughter, Alicia Wren (Tyler) Haley of Glasgow;one sister, Diana Love of Lebanon; one granddaughter, Loran Olivia Haley.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Bosley Funeral Home; officiated by Rev. Daniel Raikes. Interment to follow in Old Liberty Cemetery. For those who are unable to attend the funeral, the funeral service will be livestreamed on the Bosley Funeral Home Facebook page.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Bosley Funeral Home.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is restricted to 50% capacity. Visitors paying their respects will be asked to wait during busy period until others leave before entering the funeral home. Only sixty-five members will be able to be present for the funeral. Facemasks are required to enter the building, hand washing and practice social distancing. Food and drinks are not permitted at this time.
