Mr. Alon Lee Spalding, age 87 of Lebanon, KY, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Spring View Hospital. He was born on September 16, 1926 in Marion County, KY. Mr. Spalding was a W.W. II Army Veteran, a retired farmer, and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Frances Sullivan Spalding; parents, George Lee and Marguerite Abell Spalding; five brothers, Richard, Bill, Charles, George Jr., J.A. Spalding; three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Raley, Martha Brockman, Zita Ann Dugan.

Survivors include his son, Samuel Lee (Martha) Spalding, of Lebanon, KY; daughter, Kay (Paul) Clark, of Lebanon, KY. Also surviving are four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment to follow in Lebanon National Cemetery.

Visitations will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Bosley Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
