Alma Dawson Southall, 96, Lexington, KY peacefully passed away March 31, 2024, Easter Sunday. Native Kentuckian and born in Shelby County, she was preceded in death by her husband, Spalding Southall Sr., her parents Clarke and Martha Yates McKee Dawson, sisters Louise Dawson Slucher Morris and Rachel Dawson Biagi.

Surviving are four wonderful sons, Spalding Southall Jr., Lewis Southall, Kelly Southall and Clarke Southall (Susan) and children Christopher (Amanda) and Lindsay Southall (Jake) Grosz, step-grandson Sean Boshears and great-grandson Atticus Clarke Grosz.

Her love for family, friends, church and gardening were unsurpassed. For several years, she shared devotion and musical friendship with Christ the King Choir in Lexington and cherished her time and memories with her beloved nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 05, 2024 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass on Friday, April 05, 2024.
